Who can take part
- You have advanced cancer that cannot be cured or cannot be removed with surgery, and you have at least one tumor or lymph node close to the skin surface that can be treated with the heat lamp.
- You are scheduled to receive standard palliative radiation therapy to one of these surface tumors or nodes.
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are up and able to take care of yourself (ECOG performance status 0 or 1, meaning you can do most daily activities without help).
- You are able to understand the study and give your own consent to participate.
