  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had a heart attack and arrived at the hospital within 6 hours of symptoms starting.
  • You had a specific type of heart attack called an 'anterior STEMI'.
  • Your heart artery was at least partially open after balloon treatment.
  • Your blood oxygen level was above 80 mmHg.
  • You have no metal in your body or severe claustrophobia that would prevent an MRI scan.
