Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have had a new stroke (not in the last 3 months) and symptoms started within the last 9 hours.
- You have a moderate to severe stroke (NIHSS score of 6 or more) and a large blood clot in a main brain artery, confirmed by CT or MRI scan.
- You are being transferred to a hospital that can do a procedure to remove the clot (EVT).
- You do not have serious lung disease, heart failure, or need oxygen already, and you are not bleeding in the brain.
