Effects of a muscle relaxant on arm movement after stroke

Who can take part

  • You had a stroke that affected one side of your body at least 6 months ago.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have moderate to severe weakness in one arm but can still move it a little.
  • You are able to undergo an MRI scan.
  • You do not have other neurological conditions affecting your arms (like Parkinson's or MS).
  • You do not have any condition that would prevent you from taking tizanidine (a muscle relaxant).
