Who can take part

  • You had a stroke (either from a clot or a bleed) between 10 days and 2 months ago.
  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You have some movement in your affected shoulder — enough to lift against gravity — and at least a small amount of wrist extension on that side.
  • You do not have any implanted devices like a pacemaker, serious skin allergies, or other uncontrolled health issues that would make TENS unsafe.
  • You can understand the study and give your permission to take part.
