This study tests a type of diabetes medicine (SGLT2 inhibitor) to see if it can help people who had surgery for tetralogy of Fallot feel better and have stronger heart and lung function. It may be a good fit if you are an adult with repaired tetralogy of Fallot and do not have certain other health problems.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have repaired tetralogy of Fallot (a heart defect fixed with surgery)
  • You do not have severe heart failure (ejection fraction under 40%)
  • You do not have advanced kidney disease (stage 4 or 5)
  • You have not taken an SGLT2 inhibitor (like empagliflozin or dapagliflozin) in the last 6 months
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and have no recent severe infections or diabetes requiring insulin
