Who can take part

  • You have had the Fontan procedure for a single ventricle heart condition.
  • You are at least 12 years old and weigh 30 kg (66 lbs) or more.
  • You have not used any SGLT2 inhibitor (like dapagliflozin, empagliflozin) in the last 6 months.
  • You do not have serious kidney disease, current infections, or diabetes that requires insulin.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You can do an exercise test on a bike or treadmill.
