  • Child is between 3 and 7 years old.
  • Child is generally healthy with no major medical problems.
  • Child has deep tooth decay in one or more baby molars.
  • The tooth does not hurt on its own and has no signs of infection (like swelling or an abscess).
  • The tooth can be fixed with a filling or crown after treatment.
