Best practices for heart failure with leaky mitral valve

Mitral RegurgitationValvular Heart DiseaseHeart Failure

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial compares two treatment approaches for people with heart failure and a leaky mitral valve (mitral regurgitation). It aims to find which strategy leads to better outcomes. You may be eligible if your heart function is reduced and you have symptoms despite standard treatments.

MitraClip in Patients With Heart Failure

This study looks at how well a clip (MitraClip G4) fixes a leaky heart valve in people with heart failure. If you are scheduled for this procedure, joining may help doctors learn more about the benefits of the clip.

Testing a device to treat leaking mitral valve

This study looks at how long a new mitral valve treatment/device can stay working in people with moderate-to-severe or severe mitral valve leak. It may help avoid or delay surgery for people considered higher risk for mitral valve repair.

Valveclip repair study for leaking mitral valve in older adults

This trial tests Valveclip, a catheter-based way to repair a mitral valve that is leaking badly. It may help people who are high-risk for open surgery by aiming to reduce the leak with a less invasive approach.

Assist system for mitral valve clip procedure

This study is testing a new assist system to help doctors perform a minimally invasive procedure (MitraClip) that clips the leaky mitral valve without open-heart surgery. It is for people with severe mitral regurgitation who cannot safely have surgery or choose not to.
