Who can take part
- You are between 40 and 75 years old.
- You have a high coronary calcium score (300 or more) on a CT scan.
- You have at least one of these risk factors: high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, family history of heart disease, or smoking.
- You do not have chest pain from heart disease, a prior heart attack, or heart failure.
- You are not at high risk for bleeding (no recent stomach ulcers, no use of blood thinners, no aspirin allergy).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and do not have severe liver disease or muscle problems.
