Who can take part

  • Your baby was born between 23 and 27 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby is less than 2 days old (48 hours).
  • Doctors are not planning to stop active treatment and focus only on comfort care.
  • Your baby does not have a known bleeding disorder or a condition that destroys platelets.
  • Your baby has not already received a platelet transfusion.
  • Your baby received a vitamin K shot after birth.
