Who can take part
- You are 65 years or older and cannot tolerate standard chemotherapy.
- You have newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma confirmed by biopsy.
- Your overall health is fairly good (ECOG 0 or 1) and your IPI score is 3 or less.
- Your blood counts are adequate (neutrophils, platelets, hemoglobin) and your liver and kidney function are within safe limits.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan (like a CT or PET).
- You must not have active hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, CMV, syphilis, or serious infections, and no major heart, lung, or autoimmune diseases.
