  • Your baby was born before 37 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby is between 0 and 28 days old.
  • Your baby does not have any stomach or bowel birth defects.
  • Your baby does not have a suspected metabolic disorder.
  • Your baby does not have necrotizing enterocolitis (a serious gut infection) or sepsis when starting feeds.
