Who can take part
- You must have been newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), not a relapse or a recurrence.
- Your leukemia cells must have a change in the FLT3 gene (this is tested on your bone marrow sample).
- You cannot take standard strong chemotherapy because of your age or health issues.
- You may have had one cycle of the combination venetoclax and azacitidine (as part of your initial care), but no other AML treatment except hydroxyurea.
