Hypnotherapy for oral lichen planus

Oral Lichen Planus

This trial tests whether hypnosis can help manage oral lichen planus (OLP), a chronic mouth condition. You will be randomly assigned to either hypnotherapy or a session explaining how your mind and immune system interact. Your symptoms will be checked after 2, 6, and 12 weeks.

  • You have been diagnosed with oral lichen planus through a biopsy and clinical exam.
  • You have had the condition for at least 1 year.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You can speak Hebrew or English fluently (for hypnosis sessions).
  • You have visible mouth sores from oral lichen planus.
