Who can take part

  • You must have been newly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that is either locally advanced (cannot be removed with surgery) or has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic).
  • Before starting the radiation treatment (DaRT), you need to first receive 1 to 4 cycles of a chemotherapy regimen called mFOLFIRINOX.
  • The tumor being treated must be small enough (5 cm or less) and located in a spot where doctors can safely place the radiation seeds.
  • You must be in generally good health, able to care for yourself (ECOG performance status 0-2), and have a life expectancy of at least 6 months.
  • You must have adequate kidney and liver function, and your blood counts need to be high enough to safely receive treatment.
