Who can take part

  • Your baby must be a newborn diagnosed with a brain injury caused by lack of oxygen at birth (called hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy).
  • Your baby should not have any birth defects affecting the mouth or face area.
  • Your baby should not have a genetic syndrome or condition that causes developmental delays.
  • Your baby should not have other long-term medical problems that need ongoing care.
