This study tests a new sleep medication called tasimelteon compared to a placebo (inactive treatment) for people with a specific sleep disorder linked to a genetic change in the body's internal clock. If you have Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Disorder and carry the CRY1Δ11 variant, this trial may help improve your sleep timing.

Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You must have a diagnosis of Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Disorder (a condition where your body's sleep clock is shifted later than normal).
  • You must have a specific genetic change called the CRY1Δ11 variant (this affects your internal body clock).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be between 18 and 40.
  • You cannot currently use tobacco products or test positive for drugs of abuse.
