Nutrition and recovery for bronchiectasis flare-ups
Part of Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This trial looks at how improving nutrition during a sudden worsening of bronchiectasis affects recovery. It might help if you are an adult with bronchiectasis, currently having a flare-up, and have been identified as malnourished or at risk for malnutrition.

This study looks at what factors are linked to flare-ups and serious outcomes in people with non–cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis. You may be followed because your lung scans and recent stability help researchers understand what predicts worsening.
This study tests whether a common antibiotic called azithromycin can help prevent flare-ups (sudden worsening) of bronchiectasis—a lung condition where airways become permanently enlarged and damaged. Patients will take azithromycin or a placebo for 12 months to see if it reduces how often they get sick.
This study looks at the genes and health data of people with bronchiectasis to better understand the disease. It may help find new ways to treat or manage your condition.
This study looks at how bronchiectasis (ongoing lung damage with mucus and infections) may happen by using your medical records and genetic information. It may help researchers find better ways to understand different bronchiectasis types and guide future treatments.
This study looks at how nutrition affects the course of bronchiectasis, a lung condition that causes coughing and frequent infections. It may help find ways to slow the disease down.
This study looks at how other health conditions and the severity of a bronchiectasis flare-up affect recovery in adults. It aims to understand what factors lead to better or worse outcomes during a flare-up.
