Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 40.
  • You are classified as ASA I, II, or III by your anesthesiologist (generally healthy to having severe systemic disease).
  • You do not have any conditions that prevent receiving spinal anesthesia, such as bleeding problems, infection at the injection site, or severe low blood pressure.
  • You are not pregnant.
