Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
- You have been taking metformin (at least 1000 mg per day) or metformin plus another diabetes pill called sulfonylurea for at least 8 weeks.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 23 or higher.
- Your weight has been stable (no more than a 5% change) for the last 3 months.
- Your latest HbA1c (average blood sugar) is between 7.5% and 11.0%.
