Who can take part
- You must have completed the previous one-year belimumab study (218224 or 221672) without stopping the medication early.
- If you have scleroderma, you need a patch of skin on your belly or front thigh that is not too thick, so the injection can be given there.
- You or a caregiver must be willing to give the study injections at home for the duration of the study.
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must use highly effective birth control during treatment and for 4 months after the last dose.
- You must not have developed any new serious or unstable medical conditions since joining the previous study.
- You must not have had too much radiation exposure (more than 10 mSv) from work or other research in the last 3 years.
