Brain stimulation for ALS: a controlled trial

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with ALS using standard criteria.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Your breathing is still strong enough: forced vital capacity above 50% of normal and snif nasal pressure above 40 cmH2O.
  • You do not have any metal implants in your head, a pacemaker, cochlear implant, or other electronic devices in your body.
  • You are not pregnant, have no history of epilepsy or stroke, and no serious heart, lung, or muscle problems.
