Who can take part
- You must have a diagnosis of ALS using the 2020 Gold Coast criteria
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must be able to lie flat on your back without a breathing machine for at least 1 hour
- You cannot have metal implants in your head or neck, a pacemaker, or a history of seizures
- You cannot currently take high doses of certain medications like benzodiazepines or anticonvulsants
- You must be willing to have an MRI scan at the start of the study
