Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of systemic sclerosis (scleroderma).
  • Your disease is severe – either you've had it for 2 years or less with significant skin tightness and certain blood test results, OR you have at least 15 points on a skin score and major organ involvement (such as lung, kidney, or heart problems).
  • You cannot or choose not to have a standard stem cell transplant, and you have not responded to or have side effects from common immune-suppressing medicines like mycophenolate or methotrexate.
  • You are willing to use effective birth control during the study (if applicable).
