Who can take part
- Your age is between 21 and 65 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 30 and 45. If you need to calculate your BMI, we can help.
- You have lost at least 10% of your total body weight while taking either semaglutide (brand names like Ozempic, Wegovy) or tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) specifically for obesity treatment.
- You have been on a steady, unchanging dose of semaglutide or tirzepatide for at least 12 weeks.
- You have recently stopped or plan to stop taking semaglutide or tirzepatide within 24 weeks (about 5.5 months) before the procedure.
- You do not have type 1 or type 2 diabetes (your blood sugar should be normal).
