Who can take part

  • You are 19 years or older
  • You are scheduled for a planned liver surgery (hepatectomy) under general anesthesia
  • You need both a blood pressure monitor in an artery and extra IV line in a vein
  • You do not smoke and have normal lung function
  • Your heart rhythm is normal on an ECG before surgery
  • You are healthy enough for surgery (ASA class 1-3)
