- You are 18 years old or older.
- You are having a specific type of heart bypass surgery (mammary artery to left anterior descending artery).
- This is your first time having heart bypass surgery.
- You do not have a current heart attack or unstable angina (acute coronary syndrome).
- You can safely undergo a CT scan or angiogram of your heart arteries.
- You do not have severe kidney problems or active liver disease.
