Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are scheduled for gastrointestinal surgery (surgery on your stomach, intestines, or related organs) at Bach Mai Hospital between January 2025 and December 2026
  • Your medical records before, during, and after surgery are available and complete enough for analysis
  • You do not have a plan to withdraw from the study or move away during the follow-up period
  • If you pass away after surgery, it must not be clearly from a non-heart-related cause within the first 24 hours
