Who can take part

  • You must have extensive-stage small cell lung cancer that has spread beyond one lung and hasn't been treated before.
  • You need to be between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You must be in good enough health to perform daily activities (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on a CT scan and hasn't been treated with radiation.
  • Your liver, kidneys, and blood counts must be working well enough (specific lab tests required).
  • If you could become pregnant, you must use effective birth control during and for 6 months after treatment.
