Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have chronic liver disease (any cause).
  • Your liver stiffness measurement is above 10 kPa, or you have been diagnosed with cirrhosis by imaging or biopsy.
  • You have not had a liver transplant or a TIPS procedure.
  • You have no past or current liver cancer or other cancers.
  • You do not have a blood clot in the portal vein.
  • You still have your spleen (no splenectomy or splenic embolization).
  • You are not currently in a decompensated stage (no variceal bleeding, moderate to severe ascites, or hepatic encephalopathy).
