- You are 18 years old or older
- You have a known chronic liver disease, such as cirrhosis or hepatitis
- You have been diagnosed with liver cancer (HCC) for the first time and are scheduled for treatment that aims to cure it, like surgery or a procedure to destroy the tumor
- You do not have advanced liver cirrhosis with complications like fluid in the belly or internal bleeding
- You have not had a liver transplant or are not planning to have one for this cancer
