Who can take part

  • You have recently developed sudden weakness or paralysis on one side of your face.
  • You do not have any injury or tumor affecting your face or ear.
  • Your facial paralysis was not caused by a medical procedure.
  • You do not have a cholesteatoma (a skin cyst in the ear).
  • Your facial paralysis is not due to a brain condition like a stroke.

This early-stage study compares two medicines—prednisolone and cerebrolysin—to see which works better for Bell’s palsy (sudden one-sided facial weakness with no clear cause). You may be asked to take one of the study treatments and be followed to measure how well facial movement improves.
