This study looks at how Bell's palsy (a type of temporary facial weakness) might affect your emotional well-being. Researchers want to see if there is a link between facial palsy and feelings of distress. You will fill out questionnaires about your mood and daily life.

Who can take part

  • You have Bell's palsy on one side of your face, confirmed by a nerve test.
  • You are between 25 and 50 years old.
  • You have had Bell's palsy for at least 3 months but no more than 2 years.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is less than 30.
  • You are able to understand and complete the study questionnaires.
