Who can take part

  • You are 65 years or older.
  • You had a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) in the last 2–3 years that showed aortic sclerosis or mild aortic stenosis (mild valve narrowing).
  • You have NOT had a heart ultrasound in the last 2 years (to avoid overlap).
  • You have never had aortic valve replacement or repair surgery.
  • You do not have a permanent pacemaker, ICD, or LVAD, and you have not had a heart transplant.
  • You do not have dementia, and you can attend a study visit within 4 years.
  • Your life expectancy is more than 1 year, and you speak English.
