Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a confirmed genetic diagnosis of TK2 deficiency
- You must have moderate to severe symptoms, such as trouble walking, weak muscles, or breathing problems
- If you are a woman able to become pregnant, you must agree to use highly effective birth control and not get pregnant during the study
- If you are a man with a partner who could become pregnant, you must agree to use condoms with spermicide during the study
- You cannot have liver disease or abnormal liver tests unless a liver specialist approves
- You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
- You cannot have taken part in another investigational drug trial for mitochondrial disease in the past year
