Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a confirmed genetic diagnosis of TK2 deficiency
  • You must have moderate to severe symptoms, such as trouble walking, weak muscles, or breathing problems
  • If you are a woman able to become pregnant, you must agree to use highly effective birth control and not get pregnant during the study
  • If you are a man with a partner who could become pregnant, you must agree to use condoms with spermicide during the study
  • You cannot have liver disease or abnormal liver tests unless a liver specialist approves
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You cannot have taken part in another investigational drug trial for mitochondrial disease in the past year
