- You are between 20 and 85 years old.
- You are planning to have cataract surgery (removing the cloudy lens and replacing it with a new one) using numbing drops.
- You have not had any eye surgery, injury, or active infection in the surgical eye.
- You are not currently using any prescription or over-the-counter dry eye medications.
- You are not taking tetracycline antibiotics, antihistamines, or isotretinoin.
