Who can take part

  • You had dry eye and cataract surgery in a previous related study, or you are a new patient aged 20–85 planning cataract surgery.
  • You understand and can answer questions about dry eye (we can help if needed).
  • No eye infections, injuries, past surgeries in the eye that will be operated on, or other eye problems (besides dry eye) that cause blurry vision.
  • No use of certain medications (like tetracycline antibiotics, antihistamines, or isotretinoin).
  • Not using any dry eye drops or treatments at the start of the study.
