Who can take part

  • You are between 6 and 30 years old.
  • You were born with a small or missing outer ear (microtia).
  • You have given permission to be in the study and will come for check-ups.
  • A special CT scan shows that the condition is suitable for this surgery.
  • You are healthy enough to receive general anesthesia and do not have severe long-term illness or mental health problems.
  • You do not have other ear problems (like infection or fistula), and the skin around your ear is healthy.
