Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older and have lost your hearing after you learned to speak.
  • You must be eligible for a cochlear implant based on your country's guidelines.
  • You must be receiving a specific model of cochlear implant (CI632).
  • Your hearing loss must be severe enough (a specific low-pitch sound test result below a certain level) in the ear that will get the implant.
  • You must be able to have an MRI or CT scan before surgery and not have certain inner ear problems.
