Who can take part
- You are between 55 and 80 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 19 and 34.
- You have geographic atrophy (a type of dry macular degeneration) that meets specific size and location criteria on imaging.
- Your vision in the study eye is at a certain level: for some parts of the study, it must be 20/80 or worse; for others, it must be 20/320 or better.
- You must not have other eye diseases that could affect the results, such as wet macular degeneration, active infections, or a history of certain eye surgeries.
- You must not have had certain recent treatments, like COVID-19 vaccine within 90 days or steroid injections in the eye within 6 months.
