Study of APL-3007 plus Syfovre for geographic atrophy

Geographic Atrophy Secondary to Age-related Macular Degeneration

This trial tests whether a new drug called APL-3007, when added to your current Syfovre treatment, can slow the progression of geographic atrophy (an advanced form of dry age-related macular degeneration). It's for people who have already been on Syfovre for at least 6 months.

Who can take part

  • You are 60 years or older.
  • You have been getting Syfovre injections in the study eye every 6–8 weeks for at least 6 months (and had at least 2 injections in the last 6 months).
  • The geographic atrophy lesion in your study eye is a certain size as seen on imaging scans.
  • You have had certain vaccines (pneumococcal, Hib, and two meningococcal vaccines) within the last 5 years, or are willing to get them before starting the study.
  • You do not have other eye conditions that could affect vision, like wet AMD or a macular hole, in your study eye.
  • You have good enough vision (20/100 or better) in the study eye.
