Who can take part
- You must be an adult in the ICU for at least 1 week and expected to stay more than 10 days.
- You must have had at least one episode of multiple organ failure during your first week in the ICU.
- Your immune system must be weakened, shown by specific blood tests (low mHLA-DR and low lymphocyte count).
- You cannot have an uncontrolled infection already, a history of certain diseases (like autoimmune disease, tuberculosis, hepatitis B or C, or blood cancer), or be on high-dose steroids.
