Who can take part
- You have a failed root canal on a front tooth or premolar (teeth #4-13 or #20-29).
- There is an infection or dark spot (periapical radiolucency) at the tip of the tooth's root.
- You do not have a vertical root fracture.
- The tooth can still be restored (not broken too badly to fix).
- You do not have severe tooth mobility (class 3) that makes the tooth loose.
- You are not pregnant, do not smoke, and have no serious health problems that would make surgery unsafe.
