Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with stomach cancer or cancer of the gastroesophageal junction (where the stomach meets the esophagus).
- You have not received any previous chemotherapy or other systemic treatment for advanced or metastatic cancer.
- Your tumor does not have too much of a protein called HER2, or its HER2 status is unknown.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are generally healthy enough for daily activities (ECOG score 0 or 1).
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans.
