Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have liver cancer that is stage Ib to IIIa and cannot be treated with surgery, transplant, or ablation.
  • You are able to undergo a procedure called TACE (chemoembolization).
  • You have at least one tumor that is 3 cm or larger but no bigger than 10 cm.
  • If you have hepatitis B or C, you are willing to take antiviral medicine during the study.
  • Your overall health is good (ECOG score 0-2) and your liver function is stable (Child-Pugh A or B).
