Who can take part
- You have obesity (BMI greater than 30) and gynecological cancer
- Your blood counts are within normal limits before surgery (hemoglobin above 11, white blood cells 4,000-11,000, platelets 150,000-400,000)
- If you had chemotherapy before surgery, at least 3 weeks have passed since your last treatment
- You do not have a weakened immune system from medications or illness
- You do not have an existing infection in your abdominal wall or sepsis
