This trial tests the targeted therapy drug ensartinib given after surgery to prevent lung cancer from coming back. It is only for people whose tumor has an ALK gene change and who are in early to moderately advanced stages after complete removal.

Who can take part

  • You must have non-small cell lung cancer that has been completely removed by surgery.
  • Your tumor must have tested positive for an ALK gene change (ALK-positive).
  • Your cancer stage must be one of these after surgery: Stage IA3 (with high risk for return), IB, II, IIIA, or IIIB (T3N2M0 only).
  • You must be fully recovered from surgery and be fit enough to take study medicine.
  • You must not have had any previous treatment for lung cancer except maybe up to 2 cycles of chemo before surgery.
  • You must not have other serious health problems like uncontrolled infections, heart disease, or a history of other cancers in the last 5 years.
