How accurate is thyroid nodule needle biopsy?

Who can take part

  • You have a thyroid nodule or multinodular goiter that needs checking.
  • Your nodule scored TIRADS 3 or higher on ultrasound (moderate or high suspicion for cancer).
  • You already had a fine-needle aspiration (FNAC) and are going to have surgery.
  • You are generally healthy enough for surgery (no severe heart or lung problems).
  • You haven't refused surgery or had an unclear FNAC result.
