Radiofrequency ablation for low-risk thyroid cancer

Thyroid NoduleThyroid Cancer

Part of Cancer, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This trial tests a procedure called radiofrequency ablation to treat small, low-risk thyroid cancer. If you have a small nodule (2 cm or less) that is confirmed as cancer or suspicious for cancer (Bethesda 5/6), this treatment may be an option instead of surgery.

Needle treatment vs surgery for small thyroid cancers

This study compares a non-surgical procedure (radiofrequency ablation) with partial thyroid removal (hemithyroidectomy) for treating small thyroid cancers. It aims to find out if the needle-based treatment is as effective as surgery, with fewer side effects.

Ultrasound-guided heat therapy for thyroid nodules

This trial tests a procedure that uses heat to treat thyroid nodules that are not cancerous but have uncertain results from a biopsy. It may be an option for people who cannot or choose not to have surgery.

Active monitoring for low-risk thyroid cancer

This trial tests whether it is safe to avoid immediate surgery and instead monitor small thyroid cancers that are considered low-risk. If you join, doctors will check regularly to make sure the cancer does not grow or spread.

Radiofrequency treatment for non-cancer thyroid lumps in LatinX adults

This study looks at radiofrequency ablation, a heat-based procedure, to shrink a benign (non-cancer) thyroid nodule in adults who identify as LatinX. It may help reduce symptoms from the lump while tracking safety and results.

Radiofrequency ablation for small low-risk thyroid cancer

This study tests whether radiofrequency ablation (a heat-based treatment applied through the skin) can safely and effectively cure small, low-risk papillary thyroid cancers. It is designed for people whose tumors are small, have not spread, and who either cannot have surgery or prefer not to.
